Patrice King Brickman is the Founder and Managing Director of Inspire Capital, LLC, a venture capital firm that focuses on transitioning not for profit entities into sustainable business models with social impact.
Brickman has served on several nonprofit boards both locally and nationally. While her primary passion has been centered on poverty and homelessness, as she has worked most intimately with that population, she has also been involved with the arts and education. She currently serves on the boards of CharityWorks, Ascend at the Aspen Institute, Wolf Trap, Upward Bound Foundation, Lever Fund and the McLean School, where she chairs the development committee and is leading a capital campaign.
Brickman is an investor in Venture Philanthropy Partners (VPP) and has served on the boards of the National Center for Children and Families, the Washington Area Women’s Foundation, Imagination Stage and the Upward Bound Foundation.
She lives in Potomac, MD with her husband, Scott, and their four children: Anna (20), Leah (18), Kenna (14) and Lane (12).
